Monarc Collective LLC ("Monarc," "we," "us") sells and coordinates home improvement projects for homeowners in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. This policy explains what information we collect from the homeowners we work with, how we use it, who can see it, and the choices you have. It applies to our in-person and phone dealings, our website, our customer portal, our emails, and our text messages. It also covers our own sales representatives and staff who use the Monarc platform, in the section written for them below.
What we collect
We collect only what we need to book your appointment, prepare your quote, and complete your project:
- Your name, property address, phone number, and email address.
- Details about your home and the work you are considering, such as measurements, photos of the areas being quoted, and your selections.
- Your quotes, contracts, change orders, signatures, and payment records.
- Your communication preferences and a record of each consent you give or withdraw, including the exact wording you agreed to and when.
- Messages you send us and notes from our conversations with you.
- Basic technical information when you use our customer portal, such as your browser type and IP address, used to keep the portal secure.
How we use it
- To schedule, confirm, and reschedule your appointments.
- To prepare your quote and contract and to complete the work you hire us for.
- To send you updates about your appointment, contract, job, and payments, by the channels you have agreed to.
- To answer your questions and resolve any issue with your project.
- To keep the records the law requires us to keep, including contracts, cancellation rights, and proof of consent.
- To send you offers or seasonal reminders, only if you have separately agreed to receive them.
Text messages and your mobile information
Mobile phone numbers and text-messaging (SMS) consent are not shared with, sold to, or rented to any third parties, affiliates, or lead generators for marketing or promotional purposes. Your mobile information is used only to send you the messages you agreed to receive.
We only send text messages to a phone number whose owner has agreed to receive them. That agreement is given by you, on your own device, on our opt-in page, which you reach by scanning the QR code your sales representative shows you at the appointment or by opening the link in the email we send you afterward. Text messages are a separate choice from email and from phone calls; you can agree to one and not the others, and text messaging is off unless you turn it on. Our employees cannot switch it on for you. They can only record a request to stop.
Having your phone number on file, for example from an appointment request or a referral, is not agreement to receive text messages, and we do not treat it as one.
The messages themselves, and how to stop them, are described in our Text Message Terms and Conditions.
Our sales representatives and staff
This policy also covers Monarc Collective LLC's sales representatives and staff who use the Monarc platform. We use a staff member's mobile number and text-messaging consent only to send the work notifications they have opted into, such as appointments offered or assigned to them. Opting in is voluntary, and a staff member can change it on their profile page or by replying STOP at any time.
Mobile numbers and SMS consent are not shared with, sold to, or rented to any third parties, affiliates, or lead generators for marketing or promotional purposes.
Who can see your information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as follows:
- United Better Homes, LLC, the registered contractor that performs the installation work Monarc sells. It is named alongside Monarc on your contract and receives the project information it needs to do the work. It does not contact you for marketing, and every appointment, project and payment message you receive comes from Monarc.
- Service providers that work on our behalf, such as the companies that host our systems, deliver our emails and text messages, and process payments. They may use your information only to provide that service to us.
- Authorities, where the law requires it, or where it is necessary to enforce a contract or protect someone's safety.
How we protect and keep it
Your information is stored in access-controlled systems. Employees see only what their job requires, and the customer portal is available only to you through your own sign-in. We keep project and contract records for as long as the law and our warranties require, and we keep records of consent for as long as we are relying on them.
Your choices
- To stop text messages, reply STOP to any message from us, or tell us in any other reasonable way.
- To change any other preference, or to ask what information we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted where the law does not require us to keep it, email info@monarccollective.com or call 617-326-2111.
- Agreeing to calls or texts is never a condition of doing business with us.
Children
Our services are for homeowners and are not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will post the new version here with a new date at the top. A change will never take away a promise made above about your mobile information.
